Automating data entry: How time savings led to increased profits
Hello, dear readers! Today I want to share with you a story about how automation of business processes can solve a seemingly small problem, through which, in fact, a lot of money and time leak away.
It all started a year ago, when I was approached by an entrepreneur, the head of an enterprise with an online store on several sites. The problem he faced was quite typical for many businessmen – entering sales data into the accounting system was taking up a huge amount of time for employees.
After describing the problem in detail, the client explained that the process of entering data into the accounting system took up almost half of his employees’ working day. This left little time for other important tasks. In addition, the cost per hour for an employee was $20, and the company was losing hundreds of dollars every day to perform this routine work. Since the company was operating in Europe.
The solution to the problem was found in automating business processes and creating a business robot. We developed a system that automatically collected sales data from various sites and entered it into the accounting system. The results were excellent.
Immediately after implementing the system, the client noticed a significant reduction in the amount of time employees were spending on data entry. This allowed them to focus on more important tasks, which in turn increased the company’s profits. And most importantly, every day, the automation saved about $100, which was a significant amount of money on a month-to-month basis.
So, a problem that seemed insignificant at first glance was leading to big losses. But thanks to automation and implementation of business robots, we were able not only to solve this problem, but also to increase the profit of the company.
And now a question for you: How much time and money do you spend on routine work that could be automated?
